Transmission Line Hardware

Our range of products includes transmission line hardware and accessories for insulators, line conductors of all types, Earthwire, Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) and All Dielectric Self Supporting (ADSS) Fiber Optic Cables.

The full range is as follows:

Our products can be designed to suit various sizes of conductor, using materials that meet international standards. Raw materials for our products are procured from internationally recognized vendors and undergo stringent checks prior to production.

Transmission Line Towers

IACEM has its own design team that can cater for any configuration of transmission line towers and substation structures.

Transmission line towers designed and manufactured by us are essentially of the lattice steel type.

Designs available with us include:

  • Single / Double Circuit (Vertical formation) towers for 33kV with or without earthwire crossarms
  • Single / Double Circuit (Vertical formation) towers for 132kV voltage for single or twin conductors
  • Double Circuit towers for 220kV, 275kV voltage for single or twin conductors
  • Quadruple Circuit towers for 132 / 132kV, 275 / 132kV and 275 / 275kV voltage combinations for single and twin conductors
  • Substation gantries for single or double circuit horizontal formations for lines and substations
  • Structures for substation equipment e.g. Circuit Breakers, Surge Arresters, Potential Transformers, Current Transformers, Isolators, Busbar support, etc.
  • Three or Four Legged Microwave Tower for the Telcommunications industry

In line with the current trends in transmission line design, our latest 275kV designs are certified suitable for bare hand live line maintenance by Omaka, New Zealand.
